Toronto Businesses and Facilities are Able to Reopen Subject to Compliance with Reopening Conditions

It’s the day we’ve all been eagerly waiting for – beginning today, additional Toronto businesses and facilities are able to reopen subject to compliance with reopening conditions. This includes implementing public health measures such as mandatory mask wearing.The City has created resources to help Toronto businesses reopen safely, including sector specific guidelines created by Toronto Public Health.  Find the resources you need on the City’s website at

Additionally, you can schedule a virtual appointment with a City business advisor at the BusinessTO Support Centre to get the answers you need for your specific reopening questions.

As you know, decisions about when and how businesses can begin operating are made by the Government of Ontario in accordance with its framework to reopen the province after COVID-19.

The current webinars were developed leveraging guidelines that had been published and available up to and including the following dates – Retail Sector: June 11, Restaurant Sector: June 12, Manufacturing Sector: June 16, Personal Care Service Sector: June 19 and Events & Festivals: July 27. Please note, effective July 7, a new City of Toronto Bylaw came into effect, related to the use of non-medical masks or face coverings that are now required in all indoor public spaces.
